We are open for business 362 days of the year. Whether you’re planning a meeting for half a dozen people or a full scale event, the CLE is the place to be. Need to host a convention, wedding, shower, shag, fundraiser or any special event ? We can help. We have the facilities and the expertise to accommodate your needs. Our complex is centrally located on approximately twenty acres, in the very accessible intercity area of Thunder Bay, with plenty of shared parking for everyone. We are situated next to the region's largest shopping center and within minutes of the airport and first class hotels. Major traffic routes including the Harbour Expressway, May St., Memorial Ave., and Fort William Road will bring you right to our door. The Canadian Lakehead Exhibition is a not for profit organization administered by a Volunteer Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for our Annual Summer Family Fair as well as The Spring Home and Garden Show. These events are two of the largest events in Northwestern Ontario. The CLE is also directly involved with the Annual Project Pizza Event and an Annual Staff / Volunteer Appreciation Evening. The Board and Volunteers work diligently throughout the year with other projects as well. Our facility consists of seven buildings, three of which are leased to permanent tenants and two are maintenance buildings. The Coliseum and Heritage buildings are available for rental and are used for numerous CLE, community and business events throughout the year. The Cardinal Room is also available for smaller gatherings such as meetings, showers, weddings and family get togethers. We also have three commercial interests on our grounds, namely Silver City Cineplex and our newest addition is Boulder Bear, an indoor climbing gym. We are also home to Thunder Bay Gymnastic Association, and the Thunder Bay Country Market in the Dorothy Dove building.
