Welcome to Emerald Coast Vineyards and Wine Shop. We are a family owned and operated local winery. We started planting grapes in 1999, taking into consideration our hot summer climate, soils and exposure. With 20 acres available, approximately 16 acres are currently planted, with the remainder of the property being left treed. With the natural, unaltered soils being a good combination of clay, gravel, sand and dirt, we started by planting Schonberger grapes, followed by the Madeline Angevine. As we do not irrigate, drought was a problem early on, as were the deer. We persevered and have since added other varieties, including but not limited to; Pinot Gris, Reichensteiner, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Marechal Foch, Siegerrebe and Gamay grapes to the vineyard.

The building of the Wine Shop began in January 2009 and opened its doors in October 2009. Much of the wine shop building was constructed from reclaimed wood, including the maple harvested off the property to make way for the vineyard.

The Wine Shop currently offers seven different types of white wine, one blush and five types of red wine, with more to come. We also offer speciality fortified fruit wines. Wine tastings are available during regular business hours. The Wine Shop also offers a variety of wine merchandise and gifts, as well as custom made gift baskets, with or without wine. Our wine is only available through our wine shop and through select restaurants. Please inquire by email or phone about our shipment options. The Wine Shop is handicap accessible.
